A girl visiting Yellowstone National Park was gored by a bison and tossed into the air, park officials mentioned Tuesday.
The 25-year-old girl, who was visiting from Ohio, was not recognized in a news launch from the park.
The woman approached the female bison Monday morning after it came near a boardwalk at Black Sand Basin, near Old Devoted geyser, the park stated.

An estimated 2,300 to 5,500 bison stay on the park, they usually have injured extra folks than every other animal, the park mentioned.
When the customer got here within 10 ft of the animal, the bison impaled her and "tossed" her 10 feet in the air, the park stated.
The woman had puncture wounds and different accidents and was taken to a hospital in Idaho, the service said. Her condition was unknown Tuesday.
Two other individuals were also near the animal when it gored the woman, the park mentioned. The discharge didn’t say if they were injured.
The park warned individuals to stay 25 yards from bison, elk, bighorn sheep and moose and at least 100 yards from bears and wolves.
CORRECTION (June 1, 2022, 12:07 p.m. ET) A earlier model of this article misstated the severity of the lady’s injuries. She was gored by a bison and suffered puncture wounds. She was not killed.
