Man arrested in connection with “school shooter” indicators present in 3 New Hampshire communities

BARNSTEAD, N.H. -- A person was arrested Friday after a number of signs saying "school shooter" were found in Barnstead, Epsom, and Pittsfield, New Hampshire, the state's Department of Security introduced. Guy Hanson, 61, of Pittsfield, faces a number of costs. 

An elevated amount of cops have been placed at colleges within the communities on account of the signs. A number of colleges initiated lockdowns as a precaution shortly after.

Hanson allegedly placed the indicators around the communities, the Division of Security mentioned, but they decided there is no credible threat right now.

One such sign was written on a paper plate. The security department released a photograph of the plate however blurred a part of it "to protect the integrity of the investigation." 

Hanson was arrested on a felony charge of prison threatening and three misdemeanor charges together with false report back to regulation enforcement, false public alarm and criminal threatening. He's being held in Merrimack County Jail pending a hearing scheduled for Tuesday.

No different suspects have been charged presently.
