Man arrested in connection with “college shooter” indicators found in 3 New Hampshire communities

BARNSTEAD, N.H. -- A person was arrested Friday after a number of signs saying "faculty shooter" have been present in Barnstead, Epsom, and Pittsfield, New Hampshire, the state's Department of Security introduced. Guy Hanson, 61, of Pittsfield, faces a number of charges. 

An elevated amount of police officers had been positioned at faculties within the communities because of the indicators. Multiple colleges initiated lockdowns as a precaution shortly after.

Hanson allegedly positioned the signs across the communities, the Department of Safety stated, however they determined there isn't any credible threat at this time.

One such sign was written on a paper plate. The security department released a photo of the plate but blurred part of it "to guard the integrity of the investigation." 

Hanson was arrested on a felony cost of prison threatening and three misdemeanor prices together with false report back to legislation enforcement, false public alarm and prison threatening. He's being held in Merrimack County Jail pending a listening to scheduled for Tuesday.

No different suspects have been charged presently.
