Teen arrested after mother observed son had gun at Texas college drop-off

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD/Gray News) - A number of agencies responded to a center faculty in Texas Friday morning after a youngster’s mom seen he was carrying a gun.
Police in Lubbock inform KCBD a mom was dropping off her 15-year-old son at O.L. Slaton Middle School round 9 a.m. when she noticed the firearm. The teen by no means made it contained in the building, and he ran from the college.
The Lubbock Police Department responded to the realm together with several different companies in an try to search out him.
The teen was found close to the school’s campus and brought into custody.
Authorities said the 15-year-old might be going through a felony weapons charge.
Police say there was no menace made to the college or anyone inside the school.
O.L. Slaton Center College was briefly positioned on lockout as a result of the incident.
