Teen arrested after mom seen son had gun at Texas school drop-off

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD/Gray Information) - Several businesses responded to a middle school in Texas Friday morning after a young person’s mom observed he was carrying a gun.
Police in Lubbock inform KCBD a mother was dropping off her 15-year-old son at O.L. Slaton Center School around 9 a.m. when she seen the firearm. The teenager never made it contained in the constructing, and he ran from the varsity.
The Lubbock Police Division responded to the area along with several other businesses in an try to find him.
The teenager was discovered near the school’s campus and brought into custody.
Authorities mentioned the 15-year-old could possibly be facing a felony weapons cost.
Police say there was no menace made to the varsity or anybody inside the college.
