(I say this as someone who dove into the backrooms due to this theory) Well what matpat doesn't realize is that the backrooms isn't just that series of rooms it is a series of levels in which we are lookin at level 0 which doesn't follow normal laws ex walking somewhere then tracing your steps may bring you somewhere else instead of the place you originally where the backrooms don't follow natural laws as its impossible to no clip out of the world to begin with so if you do you will need to remember you no clipped out of "the world" a separate dimension of sorts there are over thousands of levels that are more dangerous then level 0 which level 0 or the series of yellow rooms is the tutorial a part of the backrooms where your supposed to learn to no clip through walls
The best thing you should do if you find two monsters in the backrooms is to play "I am happy" by Faraón Love Shady
If you do that, a dance battle will happen and that will give you a lot of time

Lol thats only the first level floor of the backrooms and that maze isn't defined by one path, you can go in a straight line and end up where you started.
