Drunk driver crashes, heads straight to dealership to try to promote damaged automotive with missing tire

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Police say they arrested a driver who was 3.5 instances the authorized alcohol limit after a minimum of 5 people referred to as 911.

Officers say the calls started coming in round 4:40 p.m. Monday.

They are saying witnesses reported seeing a SUV hit the median of the Lloyd Expressway near the Principal Road exit. They say the crash brought about a flat tire and the automobile to smoke, but the driver stored going.

Different callers say the driver was all around the highway and now lacking a entrance tire.

They are saying he ultimately stopped at a car dealership and appeared “super drunk.”

Staff advised police the driver, 30-year-old Jordon Mattingly, was attempting to promote his SUV.

Police say he had swelling and scratches as if he had just been in a crash.

They are saying Mattingly smelled of alcohol and virtually fell several times. Officers say he examined .291 on a transportable breath test.

Police say inside his SUV, they found Four Loko cans and a can of White Claw.

Mattingly is facing a number of charges.

He's the son of the manager for the Miami Marlins and former professional baseball player, Don Mattingly.
