The family of an 11-year-old girl who survived the massacre at Robb Elementary College in Uvalde, Texas, on Tuesday says the 4th grader performed lifeless after the gunman entered her classroom.

Miah Cerrillo's aunt and godmother said the 4th grader is struggling to manage and telling them what she witnessed throughout the shooting.

"Around midnight my sister-in-law called me and she or he was just crying, like 'I believe it simply hit Miah. I feel all the pieces came to reality now,'" stated Blanca Rivera.

Rivera said Miah's trainer, Irma Garcia, was one of many two lecturers killed. Her mates and classmates had been also targeted.

Rivera stated that's when Miah went into survival mode.

"Miah obtained some blood and put it on herself so she could faux she was useless," mentioned Rivera.
