Comic Andy Dick arrested on suspicion of sexual battery in California

Comic Andy Dick was arrested Wednesday at a campground in Orange County, California, on suspicion of sexual battery, authorities stated.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Department responded to O’Neill Regional Park round 9 a.m. after the grownup male victim called authorities a few attainable sexual assault, mentioned Sgt. Scott Steinle, a sheriff’s spokesman.

Dick, 56, was arrested on suspicion of felony sexual battery, Steinle said.

The sheriff’s department wouldn't provide more details in regards to the nature of the allegations.

The Orange County District Attorney’s Workplace had not acquired the case Wednesday and has not made a charging choice, spokeswoman Kimberly Edds stated.

Deputies responded to a campground area of the 4,500-acre park near the Santa Ana Mountains in Southern California, the place they met the sufferer and finally arrested Dick, Steinle stated.

Dick was being held in lieu of $25,000 bail Wednesday, in line with jail data. It was not instantly clear whether he had an attorney who might converse on his behalf in the incident.

A person who has been Dick’s supervisor didn't reply to a request for remark.

Dick was accused of groping a male ride-share driver in West Hollywood in 2018 and charged the following 12 months with misdemeanor sexual battery.
