Teen arrested after mother seen son had gun at Texas college drop-off

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD/Grey News) - Several agencies responded to a center college in Texas Friday morning after a young person’s mother seen he was carrying a gun.
Police in Lubbock inform KCBD a mother was dropping off her 15-year-old son at O.L. Slaton Middle Faculty round 9 a.m. when she noticed the firearm. The teen never made it contained in the constructing, and he ran from the varsity.
The Lubbock Police Department responded to the area along with several other agencies in an try to seek out him.
The teenager was found close to the varsity’s campus and taken into custody.
Authorities said the 15-year-old might be going through a felony weapons charge.
Police say there was no menace made to the school or anyone inside the varsity.
O.L. Slaton Middle Faculty was briefly placed on lockout because of the incident.
