Teen arrested after mom seen son had gun at Texas school drop-off

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD/Grey Information) - Several companies responded to a middle faculty in Texas Friday morning after a teenager’s mom observed he was carrying a gun.
Police in Lubbock inform KCBD a mother was dropping off her 15-year-old son at O.L. Slaton Center School around 9 a.m. when she seen the firearm. The teenager by no means made it contained in the constructing, and he ran from the college.
The Lubbock Police Division responded to the realm together with a number of different businesses in an attempt to seek out him.
The teen was found near the school’s campus and taken into custody.
Authorities stated the 15-year-old might be facing a felony weapons cost.
Police say there was no menace made to the school or anybody inside the college.
O.L. Slaton Middle College was briefly placed on lockout as a result of the incident.
