Teen arrested after mother seen son had gun at Texas school drop-off

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD/Grey News) - A number of businesses responded to a middle school in Texas Friday morning after a teen’s mother noticed he was carrying a gun.
Police in Lubbock tell KCBD a mother was dropping off her 15-year-old son at O.L. Slaton Center School round 9 a.m. when she observed the firearm. The teenager by no means made it inside the constructing, and he ran from the school.
The Lubbock Police Division responded to the area together with a number of other companies in an try to find him.
The teenager was found near the school’s campus and taken into custody.
Authorities mentioned the 15-year-old might be going through a felony weapons cost.
Police say there was no risk made to the varsity or anyone inside the school.
O.L. Slaton Center College was briefly placed on lockout because of the incident.
