Afghanistan’s supreme chief and Taliban chief on Saturday ordered the country’s women to put on the all-covering burqa in public - one of the harshest controls imposed on girls’s lives since the Taliban seized energy.
“They should wear a chadori (head-to-toe burqa) as it's conventional and respectful,” stated a decree issued by Hibatullah Akhundzada that was launched by Taliban authorities at a operate in Kabul.
“These girls who usually are not too previous or younger must cover their face, except the eyes, as per sharia directives, with a view to avoid provocation when meeting men who aren't mahram (adult close male relatives),” the decree stated.
It added that if girls had no essential work outside it was “better they stay at house.”
Throughout their first regime between 1996 and 2001, the Taliban imposed related restrictions on girls.
