Talking within the dugout of the Nice American Ballpark in Cincinnati, Ohio, Kapler said, "I don't plan on coming out for the anthem going forward till I feel higher concerning the path of our nation."

I want that I could have demonstrated what I learned from my dad, that while you're dissatisfied with your nation, you let it's recognized by means of protest. The house of the brave ought to encourage this."
