DALLAS - A 15-year-old woman from North Richland Hills is now residence after being kidnapped by a person at an April 8 Dallas Mavericks recreation at American Airlines Middle. But the family nonetheless seeks answers, and is charging the Mavs, the AAC and Dallas Police for not appearing swiftly sufficient relating to the crime, which had the girl as part of a sex-trafficking operation.

“She was gone lacking a total of 11 days,” legal professional Zeke Fortenberry stated. “Our intent is that way (the aforementioned organizations) are on notice that we’re pursuing claims in opposition to them for his or her negligence and different causes of motion.''

Fortenberry said the teenager’s father informed police at the recreation when he realized she was lacking. But, in response to the lawyer, the daddy was instructed to report the allegations to his hometown North Richland Hills Police. 

Fortenberry claims NRH police mentioned they weren’t capable of assist as a result of the incident occurred in Dallas.

The attorney said it was the Houston-based human trafficking company Texas Counter-Trafficking Initiative that labored to find the missing woman, who was being held in an Oklahoma Metropolis motel.

Dallas Police told WFAA that they followed protocol'' and that they aided North Richland Hills PD in the search.

The Mavs responded publicly on April 20, after the girl was discovered, the group releasing the following assertion: “The American Airlines Center (and the Dallas Mavericks) are grateful that the teenager has been discovered.Each entities will proceed to cooperate with native and regional law enforcement on this case.''
