Comedian Andy Dick arrested on suspicion of sexual battery in California

Comic Andy Dick was arrested Wednesday at a campground in Orange County, California, on suspicion of sexual battery, authorities said.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Division responded to O’Neill Regional Park round 9 a.m. after the adult male victim known as authorities a few doable sexual assault, stated Sgt. Scott Steinle, a sheriff’s spokesman.

Dick, 56, was arrested on suspicion of felony sexual battery, Steinle stated.

The sheriff’s division would not provide extra details concerning the nature of the allegations.

The Orange County District Lawyer’s Office had not obtained the case Wednesday and has not made a charging decision, spokeswoman Kimberly Edds said.

Deputies responded to a campground space of the 4,500-acre park close to the Santa Ana Mountains in Southern California, the place they met the victim and ultimately arrested Dick, Steinle said.

Dick was being held in lieu of $25,000 bail Wednesday, in accordance with jail information. It was not immediately clear whether or not he had an lawyer who could converse on his behalf within the incident.

A person who has been Dick’s supervisor didn't reply to a request for remark.

Dick was accused of groping a male ride-share driver in West Hollywood in 2018 and charged the following 12 months with misdemeanor sexual battery.

Dick has pleaded not guilty, and the case is about for trial, mentioned his attorney in that matter, Daniel Kapelovitz. Kapelovitz stated he doesn't signify Dick in Wednesday’s incident and had not spoken to him.
