HAMILTON (Mercer) — A police chief from Burlington County now facing DWI expenses in Mercer County was mendacity down in the highway behind his pickup truck, keys and cellular phone strewn close by — as seen in physique digicam footage from the April arrest.

Officials stated his car caused property damage in the area of Bruin Drive and Terrapin Lane about 10:30 p.m. He was charged with drunk driving, leaving the scene of an accident involving property damage, failing to report an accident, reckless driving and careless driving.

He was promoted to chief in 2018, after 20 years with Bordentown police, following the resignation of disgraced former Bordentown Police Chief Frank Nucera.
