A girl visiting Yellowstone National Park was gored by a bison and tossed into the air, park officers said Tuesday.
The 25-year-old girl, who was visiting from Ohio, was not identified in a information launch from the park.
The woman approached the female bison Monday morning after it got here near a boardwalk at Black Sand Basin, close to Old Devoted geyser, the park said.

An estimated 2,300 to 5,500 bison stay at the park, and they have injured more people than any other animal, the park stated.
When the customer came inside 10 toes of the animal, the bison impaled her and "tossed" her 10 toes in the air, the park mentioned.
The girl had puncture wounds and different accidents and was taken to a hospital in Idaho, the service stated. Her situation was unknown Tuesday.
Two different folks had been also close to the animal when it gored the lady, the park mentioned. The release didn’t say in the event that they have been injured.
The park warned people to stay 25 yards from bison, elk, bighorn sheep and moose and at the very least 100 yards from bears and wolves.
