Apple has discontinued the iPod, 20 years after it was launched.
The US tech large said its iconic music participant has been replaced by other devices, making the iPod redundant.
Greg Joswiak, Apple's senior vice-president of worldwide advertising and marketing, stated: "Right this moment, the spirit of iPod lives on.
"We have integrated an unbelievable music experience throughout all of our products, from the iPhone to the Apple Watch to HomePod mini, and across Mac, iPad, and Apple TV.
"And Apple Music delivers industry-leading sound high quality with help for spatial audio - there's no higher approach to enjoy, discover, and expertise music."
In October 2001, Steve Jobs debuted the original iPod and it was the first MP3 participant that would maintain 1,000 songs and had a 10-hour battery life.
"With iPod, Apple has invented a complete new class of digital music participant that permits you to put your total music assortment in your pocket and hearken to it wherever you go," he mentioned on the time.
"With iPod, listening to music won't ever be the same once more."
Comparable MP3 players launched by Microsoft and Sony didn't have the identical success as the iPod.
Apple has released five versions of its music player - the Traditional, Contact, Shuffle, Mini and Nano.
