Ten individuals have been injured, 4 critically, and three legislation enforcement officers have been harm Monday night after gunfire erupted in downtown Charleston, South Carolina, based on police.

These suspects have been recognized as Ayesha McGee and Tahira McGee, NBC affiliate of WCBD of Charleston reported, citing studies from the Charleston County Sheriff’s Workplace. 

Ayesha McGee was charged with third-degree assault and battery and Tahira McGee with second-degree assault and battery and resisting arrest. 

Officers stated extra arrests are expected.

Officers said South Avenue from Nassau Road to Drake Road and America Avenue from Reid Avenue to Mary Street in the space will stay closed to course of the taking pictures scene.

The mayor condemned gun violence in the city and throughout the nation, a nod to the Buffalo, New York, supermarket shooting and the Uvalde, Texas, faculty taking pictures.

“I don’t know about you but I’m mad about it. I’m fed up,” Tecklenburg stated. “Sufficient is enough."

Tecklenburg introduced an 8-point plan to address gun violence that includes graduated penalties for gun crimes, selling safer firearm use, and shutting down events without correct permits.

The taking pictures occurred during a violent Memorial Day weekend. A preliminary depend found that gun violence left at the least 156 people lifeless and 412 injured from 5 p.m. Friday to five a.m. Tuesday, the Gun Violence Archive stated.
